WeakNet Linux é projetado principalmente para testes de penetração, de análise forense e outras tarefas de segurança. O ambiente desktop padrão é o GNOME.

O novo kernel tem algumas grandes características e boot muito rápido em sistemas instalados. A instalação do novo sistema operacional ainda é experimental e conta com um aplicativo chamado Ubiquity.
